Expert Jewelry Appraisal
We’ve found that having our clients present for the appraisal enables them to have an interactive experience with the appraiser, where they are encouraged to ask questions and express concerns.
Your appraisal will be printed at the end of the appointment; however, where the appraiser needs more time to complete research or if you have a large collection a week delay may be warranted
Why choose a concierge jeweler?
First, lets answer the question…what is a concierge jeweler? A concierge jeweler is an alternative to a jewelry store in the idea that essentially all services that a traditional jewelry store is offered; however, business is conducted by appointment, in a private office suite and not standing in front of a glass showcase. You will meet face-to-face the recognized jewelry expert, Jeff Maurer G.G. ISA AM, for all consultation, design and purchasing.
Why choose a concierge jeweler? There are many reasons, but here are the top 3.
1) Comfort. No standing at glass counters surrounded by eavesdroppers maneuvering around you to sneak a peek at the merchandise in the case ahead of you. In fact, you will sit in my private office, in comfortable office chairs while we explore all of your exciting jewelry desires.
2) Expertise. My full curriculum vitale is located here but here are a couple facts to help you feel at ease of my knowledge base. I have been in the industry for nearly 30 years, operated as jeweler, salesman (retail), salesman (wholesale), auction cataloger, manufacturing (small and large scale) and a jewelry appraiser for the last 17 years.
3) Price. Local jewelry store in this exact area are paying a minimum of $15,000 per month for a small spot. I pay far less and easily beat any competitors’ pricing.
Are there any drawbacks to working with a concierge jeweler? Sure, I cater best to patient customers with time on their side. I offer fewer options for “buy it now” transactions. What I do keep in stock is a large selection of loose diamonds and simply order or create the perfect piece around it; which of course is par for the course even at a custom jewelry store.
Appraisal
While the most popular reason for an appraisal is to acquire insurance coverage; appraisals are also available for estate or equitable distribution purposes.
